is the second store carrying culinary staples for authentic Mexican cuisine to open in the first quarter of 2018.
LA DESPENSA MEXICAN GROCERY opened in February at 1810 Adlai Stevenson Drive.
“When we moved here from the Quad Cities four years ago we realized there were a lot of things we just couldn’t get here,” said Tammy Solis, who opened La Zacatecana Mexican Grocery Store with her husband Rolando.
“We were having to drive an hour or more to get authentic Mexican products.
Now we have people telling us they’re making that drive to get to us.”
